Look at our new pet living in the rain forest with Sponge Bob!
Today, we all went out into the playground and were put into groups of three. Each group was given a different investigation. Some examples if the investigations are:
Today, we were calculating angles without using a protractor. We realised a straight line was equal to 180 degrees, therefore, a circle is 360 degrees and so on. We were investigating to see if Air had any weight. We blew a balloon up and then debated whether an inflated balloon weighed more than a deflated balloon.
Some pupils thought an inflated balloon would weigh less because when you drop it, it takes longer to reach the ground. Others thought it would be the same as a deflated balloon and some thought it was heavier because it was inflated and the reason it took longer to reach the ground was due to the air resistance. |
