My maths group began today by recapping their place value work and then had to create their own questions for my answers. E.g. 2 + 0.6 + 0.04 = 2.64
264 divided by 100 = 2.64 Today, my group were learning how to write compound sentences. We recapped simple sentence and the wrote our own compound sentences using the coordinating conjunction ´and´.

Today in our lesson, pupils had to use their mini play from last lesson to retell a chapter from their book. Pupils had to make sure they had speech, wow words and a story that matched their play from last lesson.
Today, Mr Henderson´s maths class began with a 4 digit number puzzle. They had to cut out all of the squares and stick them together by working out the sums.
Once they had finished, they then created their own puzzles using 5 digit numbers. This week, pupils have been learning how to use punctuate speech correctly. Have a go at labeling the parts of the heart! Today, pupils have been working out what fraction of each shape is shaded in. As all pupils worked hard, they also shown they could work out equivalent fractions.
This week in PE, pupils were split into small groups and were given some balls and cones. They had to work as a team and create their own games, thinking about rules and tactics. They then played their game and explained it to their class.
This week, we have begun reading our class reading book - The Twits. Pupils then used this grid to create a variety of questions based on the book.
Today, pupils practised their spellings in class. They played a game with their learning partner and gained points for getting the spelling correct!
